Arizona Taco Festival in Scottsdale
While not everyone thinks of tacos as a quintessential feature of fall, in Arizona it's always the right time to celebrate tacos. The annual festival is taking place on November 12 & 13th this year and will feature over 100 different tacos to try, each just $3.
The Arizona Taco Festival has been taking place in Scottsdale for 12 years, and though it has been imitated in other cities it remains the original and the best. In addition to some of the best tacos you've ever had, you'll enjoy a chihuahua beauty pageant, taco eating contest, kid zone, margaritas, and more!
Four Peaks Oktoberfest in Tempe
Located in Tempe just a short drive from Scottsdale, Four Peaks Oktoberfest is an annual multi-day festival hosted by local craft brewery Four Peaks. Though the festival centers around tasting lots of great beer, it is also totally family friendly.
Guests enjoy live music, weiner dog races, an ASU Football watch party, weiner dog fashion show, VW parade, the US Steinholding Association State Finals, and of course plenty of delicious food and drinks.
Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival in Scottsdale
On the weekend before Halloween at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, residents love to celebrate Fall at the Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival. Costume contests, live music, plenty of candy, a pumpkin patch, a haunted trail, and over 20 hot air balloons from around the country make for a fun and festive night out with the whole family.
You'll even get the chance to take a tethered balloon ride in one of the colorful hot air balloons on site, enjoying a balloon's eye view of the entire festival.
Schnepf Farm Pumpkin and Chili Festival in Queen Creek
Take a drive about 40 minutes from Scottsdale to the Schnepf Farm Pumpkin and Chili Festival. This nostalgic, family friendly festival has something for everyone, including a corn maze, carnival rides, funnel cakes, BBQ, burritos, Schnepf Farms Famous Pies, hayride, ropes course, petting zoo, pig races, dog show, face painting, and more!
If you visit on a weekend, make sure to try their signature pumpkin chili! Parking is always free and there are plenty of food choices for every taste.
